REVIEW. Love in Contract Review Episode 2
Whether it’s the script, cameraworks, acting or the directing, Love in Contract is no ordinary romantic comedy. The understated lovely moments with dashes of darkness makes it thrilling and exciting. The sentimental (romantic) moments are surprisingly touching and subtle, with just a soft layer of dry humor.
Park Min Young does it again. The Queen of romantic genre. And Go Kyung Po is the real deal here. His introspective gestures are different from the usual cold chaebols or heartless professionals. And with the drama teasing serial killer and stalker, Jung Ji Ho is most likely a criminal psychoanalyst or criminal forecaster if there’s such a thing….

RECAP. Love in Contract Recap Episode 2
Unable to accept the divorce statement from Jung Ji Ho, Sang Eun insists on finishing her tasks till the end of the month.
After having a crazy drunk session, she is back, determined to fulfill the rest of the contract terms. She couldn’t help thinking of a brief moment of hotness in the kitchen.
Their hands briefly touched while cleaning the plates. As Ji Ho moves closer, she blushes, but turns out he asked her to move aside.
And another time, when her hand was fractured and to her delight, she thought he wants to feed her. But all he did was to offer three types of straw. She grows embarrassed as she thinks of all the times she misread his actions.
Meanwhile Kang Hae Jin moves to the unit above Jung Ji Ho’s place. Obviously this is a pretty posh place with just one unit per floor. Hae Jin welcomed Jaime, the cat home but he accidentally drops the box and she runs to a corner.
Ji Ho who is supposed to collect his parcel from the delivery man mistakenly thinks Hae Jin, the celebrity poster boy as the delivery man. Thanks to his face plastered on the van. Hae Jin’s cat cuddles up to Ji Ho while she is mean to Hae Jin.
They both enter the lift with the real Jaime, Sang Eun arriving at the same time. Hae Jin recognizes his first crush but she doesn’t recall him. To his disappointment, Ji Ho and her are wearing same couple rings.
Ji Ho safely delivers the cat and Hae questions about his marriage. Then Hae Jin proudly introduces his movie poster which does not make an impact to Ji Ho.
Back in the house, Sang Eun forgets to buy groceries, but she is able to whip up something delicious for him despite the bare food supplies in the house. But she also leaves the kitchen in a mess.
The next time, he buys all instant food he could think of. But he ends up thinking of her; when she spotted his cactus and when she looked out the window…
And that time, the most romantic dish washing session…
She didn’t get to see his gaze upon her when she was lost in the moment….and when he finally saw her one way ticket to Canada.
So giving her the divorce is the best thing he could for her. That she could be free to pursue what she wants… or so he thought…
Meanwhile Mr Celebrity finds out that Ji Ho roles play at night, stabbing in the dark and with photos of the recent attempted murder scenes.
He thought about the time that he met Eena Group’s daughter as she attended the engagement party.
He was pretty dorky at that time but he was impressed with her kicking up a fuss and rejecting the political marriage.
All that convinces him to alert Sang Eun but she defends Ji Ho. Before going home, she requests for acknowledgenent from Ji Ho which he agrees to, as the final goodbye to their contract marriage.
Despite Ji Ho catching her going off at night without her ring, he couldn’t see his first crush getting into a possible serial killer’s house.
So for Sang Eun’s farewell dinner, he grabs her alerting her that her husband is dangerous and questioning their relationship.
Just as she is about to reveal the real story, Ji Ho opens the door. And Hae Jin pulls her behind him.
Ji Ho scans the situation before him. And he calls her honey. He is hungry and wants his dinner soon.
Sang Eun lights up. Finally hearing what she longs for.
